As my time serving our community in the Florida House of Representatives comes to an end, I want to take a moment to simply say thank you.
Serving you, my friends and neighbors has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving on the City Commission in Lighthouse
Point, the Broward County Commission, as well as in the Florida House of Representatives. Through each of those roles, I have had the opportunity to meet countless incredible people and work alongside residents, local businesses, nonprofits, first responders, and community leaders.
From listening to residents about issues affecting their families, to working to improve our neighborhoods and strengthen our community, I have been reminded time and again of what makes this place so special to live, work, and raise a family.
Every day in public service is not easy, and not every issue has a simple answer. However, I have always believed that the most important part of public service is listening to the people you represent and doing your best to find a solution that makes a difference. I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish together, both locally and in Tallahassee.
I am especially grateful to everyone who took the time to reach out, share an idea, ask for help, or simply stop and say hello. The thousands of conversations, emails, and relationships are what has made public service so meaningful to me. I also appreciate how welcoming everyone has been to my wife Eileen. She has built a life of service alongside me, but also on her own supporting education and healthcare initiatives in our community.
To everyone in our community, thank you for putting your trust in me and giving me the opportunity to serve. It has truly been a privilege. Although this chapter of public service is coming to a close, I will always be grateful for the people and communities that made these years so memorable.
As always, it is an honor to serve you as your State Representative.
